Did you know that : Our ancestor John Cassian Christianized Gaul

Mysteries of history exist but only true historians will present them.
From my point of view is the duty of every local historian to present heroes and scholars who were born on his land.
I wonder about how many people know that the pioneer of Christian religion in Gaul was an Romanized Thracian?
Where stood the watch "experts" in the field?
But that does not matter now, the only thing that really matters is the information of those who want to know the truth.
John Cassian (d. about 360 Casimcea - AD 435) was one of the most important representatives of literature and Western monasticism century. IV and V, is venerated as holy father of the Universal Church.
While he was in Rome John Cassian accepted the invitation to found an Egyptian-style monastery in southern Gaul, near Marseille. He may also have spent time as a priest in Antioch between 404 and 415. Whatever the case, he arrived in Marseille around 415.
At Marseilles he founded two monasteries, one of men and other women:
Monastery "St. Victor" the Monastery "Holy Savior". Organize model monastery monastic life in the East with the necessary adaptations site. Saint Casian is a factor linking patristic culture of the East and the West. He is considered one of the biggest promoters of Western monasticism, although monasticism in the Latin world and there before him.
Religious writings of John Cassian are represented by three major works :
About establishments cenobitic (monastery) and the remedies of the eight major sins (in Latin octo institutionis cenobiorum principalium vitierum remediis et Libri XII), approx. 420.
Collation or talking with parents, "Colationes patrum" about. 428.
About the Incarnation of God, against Nestorius (in Latin incarnatione against Nestorium Domini), approx. 430, polemical apologetic work in 7 books, written at the request of Archdeacon Leo, became, later, Pope of Rome.
It is important to know that our Thracians ancestors were not barbarians, actually they played an important role in spreading Christianity over the Europe.
